Guruvandhana - 2020
‘Guruvandana – 2020’ was celebrated in a grand manner by RJS First Grade college, Koramangala on the 25th of January,2020. Sri. Kalyan Chakravarthy, the Dean of Narayana PU colleges, Bangalore, was the Chief Guest at the function. The function was presided over by Sri. S. Jayarama Reddy, the President of Karnataka Reddy Jana Sangha.Sri K.N Krishna Reddy, General Secretary of KRJS, Sri. V. Venkatashiva Reddy,the Vice President of KRJS, Prof. P. Sadashiva Reddy, Joint Secretary of KRJS and Sri. Naghabhushan Reddy, the Principal of RJS First Grade College were also present on the occasion.
About 25 Principals of different colleges were honoured at this function. Some of the RJS FG College Alumni achievers were also felicitated on the occasion. Study materials for the even semester students of RJS First Grade college were released by the dignitaries. In his speech, the Chief Guest spoke about declining values and misuse of the Internet. The programme which started at 11.00 a.m. got concluded by 1.30 p.m. After the programme, the invited gurus were led to a Banquet with Management Members.
Smile - 2020
‘Smile 2020’ was celebrated in an unprecedented manner on the 2nd of febrauary,2020 (Sunday). The official programme was presided over by Sri S. Jayarama Reddy, the President of Karnataka Reddy Jana Sangha. Sri K.N Krishna Reddy, General Secretary of KRJS and Prof. P Sadashiva Reddy, Joint Secretary of KRJS and Dr P. Naghabhushan Reddy, the Principal of RJS First Grade College were also present on the occasion.
The Programme was organised by the Student Council members of RJS First Grade College. The College has been organising this programme for the last 6 years. The programme is meant for students of different orphanages in Bangalore. Vidyaranya, Vidya Niketan(Sarjapur), Vidya Niketan(Tamilnadu), Ruva Foundation, Anatha Shishu, Need Base India, Thayi Mane, Keshava Seva Samithi and VRR foundation are the different orphanages which send their students to this programme.
Competitions were organised in different cultural events and sports events. Cultural events included Solo Dance, Group Dance, Solo Singing, Group Singing and Drawing. 100 meters’ race, Sack Race and Lemon & Spoon race were the sports events. Prizes were distributed to the winners of these events.
The students who reached the college at 8.30 a.m. returned to their orphanages by 5.30 pm. They were picked up and dropped by the college buses. They were treated to breakfast, lunch and snacks during the day. The children who came with a smile returned with a bigger smile.
